just my luck? blessed ~

As you know, I've been so stressful lately, I've been studying the whole time for the entrance exam. Panicking how to finish the monster pile of materials while pondering and procrastinating. The most nerve racking thing is the practical one called OSCE because I have never done such thing and I have no idea how to perform it exactly just the way they do it.

Then, I was waiting for the letter they (the university) were gonna send me. Okay, I'm waiting here! Then 2 weeks passed, not any single sign of letter coming to my house. Every time I heard any postman coming with their distinct motorcycle sound, I'd look out whether it's my letter. Okay, one week before the last week of February, I can't wait any longer. I needed to know when. And I called the person in charge AND he said that I will only have the written exam, NO OSCE. Hooray! Thank You, Lord!
*feeling much much better and relieved

I've been longing for an answer, a sign, maybe this is it!

Thank You, Lord!

Now gonna work my ass off!

Yippee!

i've found it!

Finally this time I think I'm pretty sure that I have found the missing piece!

This is what I meant to be. This is the pathway I should walk. The road I should take.

I could do so much more in this pathway. Because more than anything I don't want to be limited by the cubicles everyone struggling to get out from, climbing those straight or bent ladder up to the top. Unconsciously being trapped and imprisoned.

I'm gonna believe that I'm meant to walk this different road, and going to the top.

"Everybody's Got Somebody But Me"

Today when I turned on my TV, this song was played.
Is it some kind of reminder for me since tomorrow is V day?
Prefer the mash-up version tho. Super fun!
Kurt, you're a genius!

Have a great day everyone!

The Adventure to The Ancestor's Homeland #3 : Suzhou

winter series #2 : western in the east
Also taken at the university compound where I used to go.

The buildings are quite pretty, isn't it? Looks like the European, except for the last 2 photos. But, I'll spill you a secret. Don't be deceived by the European architecture feel, it does look very pretty from the outside but you don't want to experience having classes in those buildings. The major reasons are, first, the bathroom part is horrifying, it is the kind of bathroom you could never imagine. It is only in China you have the 'sewer and half separator'. Don't try imagining and I hope you will never have to experience it. Second, those buildings do not have heating system. It's freezing when it comes to winter while you have to sit in the class listening to your lecturer. My friends and I would bring our heating pillows to keep us warm during classes. We survived China with some amusing lifesaver stuffs you may not find anywhere else. 'This is China' experience!

The Adventure to The Ancestors' Homeland #2 : Suzhou

I feel like posting some photos I took in winter. Everything looks pretty in the snow but I don't miss the cold temperature.

Here's the winter series #1 : snowy alleys & trees of Suzhou!
Taken in my university compound, loving the tree branches covered with slight snow.

till the next post!

The Adventure to The Ancestors' Homeland #1 : Suzhou

The post under the title will be about my journey and 我的生活 in my ancestors' homeland that inspire the name of this blog.

I don’t remember anymore when exactly I flew to China but it was around September in 2007. I’ve just graduated from high school by then. I’ve always wanted to study abroad since I was a kid, (ideally) in the States or Canada, but going to those countries requires the presence of a lot of stacks of Ben F. Thank God that I finally made it even though I only ended up studying in my ancestors’ homeland.

Here is a glimpse of the city where I used to live, a little bit of everywhere in Suzhou!

a snowy pathway by the canal across my dormitory in Suzhou old town

I'd say I don't regret the whole experience.
